I know you're not supposed to hit a girl but... Posted: 11 months ago by 2manyusernames
I do believe an exception could be made in this case. Kimberly Scullen convinces her National Guardsman husband, Andrew to grant her power-of-attorney while he is deployed. She then spends all his money, places him deeply in debt, then divorces him when he returns and finds out she had been living with her boyfriend.

Something similar to this happened to a close friend of my Dads. The gentlemen in question worked several states away making great money. His wife told him she needed him to sign the household and other items over to her so she could get things taken care with the banks without him having to come home. So he does it. After a very long time of working away from home and only being able to return for brief visits, he finally finishes the job he was on. He thught he was coming home to a debt free lifestyle. He was wrong his wife was debt free and had a live-in boyfriend. She filed for divorce and he got nothing but his truck. Some guys can't even trust their wives.

Just playing devils advocate here. With the power of the internet, should it not be in a mans interest to take care of what is his? No, not physically alter the looks of the woman over tcp/ip protocol, but to check the bank statements via the internet, have a service protect his credit and actually take the time to protect what is rightfully his? I am aware that internet is scarce in Iraq and Afghanistan and places of equal nature. I also know it DOES exist there and is accessible to all troops at some point.

I am sure this has happened to some women who have served in Iraq. It has happened to people who just travel alot. But at what point does self responsibility and common sense get lost with an individual who is willing to just sign everything over to someone?

It sucks this happens to the troops, it sucks that bad things happen to good and great people. It also sucks when personal accountability is forfeit.

This is just a Devil's Advocate approach, I personally think the woman and the boyfriend should be strung up by their toes and beat severely about the head and shoulders with a whiffle ball bat until they bleed profusely from every orifice.

This is all true, but the last thing you expect your wife to do is steal all of your money and leave you with nothing to your name.

If you get internet access once in a blue moon, and you know someone at home that you trust (even if you shouldn't) is taking care of the everyday stuff, wouldn't you use it to write emails home? Checking my bank statement wouldn't be top of my list.
