Amazing that Best Buy was "offering" this for her lost laptop. They balked and balked until they admitted losing it. Amazing how they assumed she would take the paltry sum. I understand the lawsuit but my question would be that if she wins a multi-million dollar settlement when she is just trying to prove a point what will she do with the money? I think it should go to the "Plime 100% Uptime Fund".

Best Buy sh*ts all over their customers, hopefully a lot more people decide to join forces with her and make the company really hurt.

Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever shop at WorstBuy.

Do I make myself clear?

I hope they get a fair judgment against them...which given what happened here would be:

1) Full cash refund of the purchase cost of the PC and warranty

2) Full cash payment for anything on the PC that has a definable value (i.e. the songs and other software that she bought)

3) Her lawyer's fees

4) Five years subscription to the ID Theft Monitor service

5) Commitment and PROOF of employee retrains / replacements

6) Payment for her time and hassle of having to deal with the nonsense of canceled credit cards, etc. brought about from the loss of personal information

7) Punitive damages - I am gonna say about $50,000 should cover that

My friend bought a high dollar DVD player, back when they were still fairly expensive. He took it in for repair, it still had some of the protective wrap covering the front LCD windows. In other words it looked like it was just removed from the box.

4 weeks later he goes to pick it up from repair. The top cover of the DVD player looked like they had been playing Frisbee with it, it was f**ked up.

Best Buy customer service offered nothing, not even a real apology. It took months of calls and letter writing to get anything from them, all he wanted was a new top cover, they gave him something like a 30.00 store credit.

After having my own issues with them 'repairing' my digital camera at the time, it came back still broke from repair 4 times before it was replaced causing me to not have it for the reason I bought it in the first place, a family trip to Florida.

I made this out of frustration.

never did finish it, but feel free to use it all you want :)
