When you don't wear hunter's orange you run a very high risk of being mistaken for a game animal. At a distance, when you're wearing camo and have foliage between you and the shooter, you just look like movement in the trees; people will shoot at this.
Wear hunters orange or you may as well be wearing antlers and a buckskin coat.

You can't wear orange when turkey hunting, turkey hunting requires you to be very well camouflaged. The fact that this man didn't know where his nine year old son was while taking him hunting is amazing, and incredibly stupid.

Furthermore I never knew about the rules of hunting turkey. Of course, I don't hunt, and neither does Lark. We here in belle plaine mn, are not so gruff to think of the father as stupid, both were camoflaged, the boy was told to stay where he was and did not. it is a tragic accident and the father and mother have lost their son. why are people so quick to judge and make fun of a childs death .

You never shoot unless you are sure of your target. The father just learned that lesson in the most painful way imaginable other than being the one that got shot. You don't shoot at movement in the brush. You are likely just going to miss at best, and at worst you might just kill your son.
