Child traffickers are targeting the youngest and most vulnerable survivors of Burma's catastrophic cyclone and two suspects have already been arrested, the United Nations has reported.

As much as I'd like to agree with you, I doubt it would deter people like this much. That having been said, shooting them in the gut does sound good.
Unfortunately the governments in countries like this don't seem to have the resources to deter and stop well funded traffickers.

f**king monsters! if a human being has no compassion or sympathy or desire to nurture lost children, then they have no humanity. they are nothing more than animals, and it should be justifiable to hunt and kill them to "cull the herd."
(or maybe just put them away for the rest of their lives...i'm not too big into killing people...i mostly just wish they would off themselves and spare us the trouble)

Shoot a few of these bottomfeeders in the street so they die a fairly painful death (nothing easy like a head-shot) and I think the cowards who would do this stuff will think twice. If it causes enough hesitation to save one child, it'd be worth it.
