Actually I find it to be a very beautiful thing. The only reason I wouldn't do it is cause you better be prepared to rub spf 1000 on that sucker unless you want some lovely skin cancer.

I was expecting to see a completely infected back as a last picture, but that didn't happen.
The final did actually look nice (although I wonder if that's the "over time" appearance)
Oh, and I hope she mixed a generous amount of wodka through that orange juice, d*mn, that must've hurt...

Whatever floats your boat. As long as she is happy with it I'm sure it's worth it.

The "end result" is very beautiful. But what a cruel thing to do to your skin. Hope she doesn't change her mind about it later.

I am surprised that it healed as well as it did. Usually scarification ends up with really gross bubbly scars. I don't see why she didn't just get it tattooed in the colour of the scar instead of going through that.
But it did turn out nice and it was a beautiful design.

That made me light headed and nauseous.
I did with stand one "normal" tatoo about 3 years ago. Needles give me the heebie jeebies. I couldn't imagine having my skin ripped off.
No thank you.

That's disgusting... It's an original idea, and it looks kinda cool, but she's out of her mind. Why not tattoo it in or something? Why mutilate your body like that?

I have scars already. Scars that tell wonderful stories. One on my knee that has been called wicked. Yes it came out nicely in the end, but oh my goodness what a horrible thing to go through. No thank you. I will take and keep all my scars and cherish their stories. No 1000 spf needed.

Just to play devil's advocate here-
What's going to happen when her metabolism slows down, and she's had two children?
The base of those lovely bamboo stalks are going to have to be reworked around the stretch marks into something more akin to a large, gnarled oak with rough bark.

I'm not gonna hate on it. It really is a cool look when it heals. I've actually considered it, and I don't even have any tattoos. I wouldn't do anything that extravagant though. I'd definitely go simple.
