Children fed 'silly pills,' forced to perform sex shows Posted: 2 months ago by dollyllama
In the windowless front rooms of a former day care center in a tiny Texas community, children as young as 5 were fed powerful painkillers they knew as "silly pills" and forced to perform sex shows for a crowd of adults.
*Absolutely appalling.

Jurors this year deliberated less than five minutes before returning guilty verdicts against the first two defendants
What took them so long?

What a waste of perfectly good Vicodin.

Yeah, bad for the kids too.

Sounds like a good candidate for the death penalty if you ask me.

Jamie Pittman and Shauntel Mayo were sentenced to life in prison. Kelly also faces a life sentence if convicted, and Smith County prosecutors hope for another swift verdict.
I would be surprised if they survive more than a couple years behind bars...

The general prison population is notoriously "thorough" when letting people like this know how they feel about people who mess with kids.

And the guards always seem to sneeze at just the right moment...

Permanent custody of the three siblings was given to John and Margie Cantrell. This week, prosecutors in California charged John Cantrell with sexually assaulting a child in the state 18 years ago. Margie Cantrell said her husband is innocent.
Did I miss something here?

I realize that he has only been charged and not convicted but can't these poor kids be put in a home where there is NO suspicion of this of ANY kind?

Also, is it me, or do the folks in this town seem to just want to sweep this under a rug? That was the feeling I got. IMO.

fifty to a hundred people?
I don't get that.

How come no-one looks into 50-100 people gathering regularly on a spot where a couple of little kids are said to be looked after.

The worst thing is that these people absolutely feel no shame in what they're doing. They're not hiding anything, they share it with a group as big as that.
I don't think you can ever give people like that any therapy or treatment which will make them more agreeable human beings.
But most of them will escape any judgment whatsoever.

Oh I am just sickened by this. I would have jumped up in the jury box and screamed, "Guilty! Don't waste anymore time or money." ugh! So sick.

So what happened to the "crowd of adults" involved in this? They just go free of everything??
