To save money, the jail changed the menu. All the inmates are not amused. They were looking forward to their peanutbutter sandwiches on Thursday!
Do you think it is right for them to change the menu? Why or why not?

I personally think they should just be fed bread and water. In one of the comments for that article, someone said they should work for it by being in a chain gang cleaning up our roads. I think thats a good idea...but another thing that bothers me is how they have a/c, gym and tv! Most people right now cannot afford these and they are law abiding citizens.
We really need to look at this whole thing in a new way. Why the hell are we paying for all this crap? To keep them comfortable? How about if you wanna be comfortable, don't break the law.

I think that so long as a jail ensures its inmates receive healthy, balanced meals, the content of these meals really doesn't matter.
How many students survive for years on macaroni and soups? Suck it up, buttercups!

I would agree with you if people weren't in jail for drug offenses, there are some people in jail for such bulls**t reasons, but in an ideal America where people are only in jail for crimes that hurt someone in some way I would definetly agree.

make the prisoners pick crops and other jobs that americans don't want to do for a competitive wage.
Pay them a wage, then allow them to pay for any services above absolute basic.
