« RowanGrey : How does one make a piece of cheese look like a bomb? i think it was a bunch of the string cheese packages that look like sticks, tied together in duck tape; i think then it looks like a covered package of dynamite sticks.

Okay, I'll accept that it took 2 hours to determine that the bomb was just cheese because they were being very cautious.
It seems to me that it should have been figured out way way before that, but I never worked as a bomb squad member so I'll take it that 2 hours is not excessive.
However I have a hard time figuring out this:
The store remained closed for two hours [...]
He says the closure caused thousands of dollars in losses to the store, including from milk, ice cream and other items that spoiled during the closure and had to be thrown out.
First of all does the grocery store really make more than $1000 in profit every hour?
Well, the figure does include loss of items, but just 2 hours. Did they shut off power to the whole store because of the "bomb". Perhaps so. Perhaps they thought an electrical spark would set it off, but that doesn't make sense because the bombers don't want it going off with them there (assuming power is on when they placed the "bomb")

Why in the world would they have to turn the power off??
