I once worked with a guy who was always viewing these beastiality videos and he caught me by surprise once and I saw about 3 seconds of one with a chick and a dog.
I smacked him behind the head (ala Gibbs from NCIS, but a lot harder).
I'm still scarred from those three seconds. People are sick.

What great news! I read the story previously when the arrests happened and was shocked that they were calling for the animals to be killed.
I mean they arrest the people for cruelty to animals because they had sex with them and then they wanted to kill the dogs? Killing them might be a bit cruel as well don't you think.
So happy to see saner minds prevailed.

How is this animal cruelty if the vet said that the animals were completely healthy? That makes it seem like there was no abuse, they were fed well, cared for, etc. If no pain was intentionally caused to the dogs, there is no abuse.
The difficult part about this is the fact that animals can't exactly consent to these things, but as long as they aren't being purposely harmed during it then it shouldn't be illegal, let alone a felony. Keep in mind that just because you think it's disgusting doesn't mean that it should be illegal. Everyone has their own likes/dislikes and their right to partake in such activities shouldn't be infringed upon unless they are harming something else.

Really? Sure. The only problem that I see with it from a purely rational standpoint is that an animal can't consent. But, as I said before, as long as the animal isn't being overtly abused there isn't problem. Also, as I said before, just because you think it's disgusting doesn't mean that it should be illegal.

This is a tough subject because animals can't give consent. That's my only hangup so far. Also, who's to say that this emotionally harms the animals? We can't say exactly if the dog is harmed or not. Maybe this can bring out a very dangerous tendency in the dog. Just like elephants only put up with so much before they go berserk.
Then there's the angle that says we should protect girls and woman who are convinced this would be a nifty way of making a few bucks. How might this affect our human psyche? Having sex with an animal. We as humans are able to rise above our tendencies/instincts. Thats what separates us from animals. Of course there are a lot of people who don't see the point of maintaining a degree of self-respect. They just feel the need to make some sort of sick, non-relevant statement.

Are you trying to say that you know so much more than these people that are doing it and that you must protect them from what you think is a wrong decision? Now, by all means, do whatever you want to try and prevent people from doing this if you think it's disgusting, but don't get the government involved. Prostitution is legal in some places... not a fair comparison. but I'm gonna have to side with mersh a lil bit on this one.. I mean they dont say how old the dog was.. but I'm pretty sure the dog was the one that mounted the lady and did the pumping away.. it's not really something you have to teach them to do.. I've had my leg humped a few times while I was passed out drunk(most times by dogs)
I think the bigger questions is how come its a violation to have sex with the dogs but neutering them and cutting off their junk is acceptable..
since we're comparing them to humans then I think I'd be more pissed if someone cut my junk off than if they taught me how to hump a b***h and video taped it.. hehe i used that word in context for the first time ever..

For Pete's sake, the story is about some wacko banging a couple of dogs and her husband filming it.
It's wrong. Period. It is okay to say that. Something are just wrong and don't really require that much analysis. It's a f**king DOG. She was banging A DOG.
I'm all for debating, etc. and putting out counterpoints and playing devil's advocate and thinking about the implications of certain viewpoints, but at the end of the day, this chick was banging a couple of dogs on video. If you really don't see anything wrong with that, you need to re-evaluate your priorities.
