Tuesday night. 9:20 p.m. I was hoping to catch a friend’s 10:00 show in Hollywood, but it’s not looking good. I’m at a teaching hospital in East LA, I’m naked, and the guy hunkered down between my thighs can not find my cervix.
I am a Pelvic Model. More precisely, I am a Non-MD, Gynecological Instructor.

On a side note, I've been reading about the cervix a lot lately.
Edit: I should probably add that I'm pregnant, just in case there's anyone left on Plime who hasn't figured that one out yet. I'm not just randomly reading about the cervix.

In the medical student’s second year, they are allowed to perform genital/rectal exams on an anesthetized patient without the patient’s knowledge or consent.
WTF??? I bet they don't knock anything off the bill for the surgery, either.

Very interesting read. Have to say, I wonder how her SO feels about it? I don't think I could do the job...I dislike having my bits manhandled like that, and having them treated like Lego's sounds awful. I'd end up being rude, I think.

WTF??? I bet they don't knock anything off the bill for the surgery, either. That's actually very common. Heh...better check your state regs to see if they've outlawed or regulated it yet. And...look at it this way--males only have ONE orifice they'll plumb without your consent!

At a local midwifery school here, one of the conditions of acceptance is that you're willing to basically let other students perform exams on you, and they'll allow you to do the same.
I bet it makes for an awkward graduation.
