WTF?!
If you can't afford such basic care as food, then have the balls to call a shelter and say you need someone to take them. Even if they couldn't be placed through a shelter, euthanasia is a lot more humane than letting them sit in a kennel and starve to death.

That is a strange way to show love, letting them slowly starve to death. I would say that their idea of love is posession. The hoard the dogs and don't even provide them with the basics. That's really really bad.

If it was just a food problem, than the place should have been clean... it looks like hell. Even if I couldnt afford to feed my babies the best food, their place wouldnt be a hell hole like that.
Also if you cannot afford a pet ... DON'T GET ONE. I am sick of people thinking they want a pet and then about a year or two later the newness has worn off and they have this creature that they dont what.

He did not own these dogs. They were boarded and/or trained at his facility. Many owners still do not know if their dog is alive or dead.
Another reason why you should always check out everyone completely, before entrusting them with the care of your pet.
If you read the comments on the article, people that know him said he is going through a divorce. Which is absolutely no reason at all to starve to death these poor innocent animals and think it's ok.

It's bad enough he neglected his own dogs, but to take responsibility for other folks' animals and then starve them too?
And then try to pass it off on the economy? How dare he? "Oh, I'm sorry I starved your dog to death, ma'am. I know you paid me to take care of him while you were gone, but because times are hard, I couldn't afford any food so I just locked him in a cage and let him die. Hope your vacation was swell!"
Shooting him would be merciful. Starve that son of a b***h to death.

Shooting him would be merciful. Starve that son of a b***h to death. Yep, and alot of the people that used him for boarding in the past, said they also dropped off a bag of food with their dog. And when they picked up their dog, after just a week of boarding for a family vacation, the dog was thinner. He had food, he was just too damn stupid and lazy to do what he was being paid to do.
I read somewhere that charges have been dropped because there was never a search warrant issued. Sad, very sad. There is not justice. If this happened to one of my dogs at the hands of this man, I would be in jail right now.
