The article is here:

...No Obama didn't actually scream but does anybody else think that Moore's endorsement will hurt more than help?

I didn't think this was mainstream plime-worthy but I'd thought I'd post it here.

I know there was a Moore rally here in PA and although I didn't attend myself a co-worker did and she informed me how NUTS many of his fanatics are.

I personally hate the media and take EVERYTHING I read in the news as an overstatement and sensationalized version of some lesser truth...and that certainly includes Moore.

Anyway...to ME..a Moore endorsement for Obama is no better than an endorsement for Hilary from the KKK.

I think Moore is irrelevant. I think he has less positive or negative sway than say a George Clooney, Matt Damon or Leo.

Michael tried to endorse me
I said no, no, no.
Yes I be badass, but when Moore attacks
You wont know, know, know.

I ain’t got the time
So if my Michael thinks im fine
He’s tried to endorse me
I wont go, go, go.

I’d rather be at home with Michelle
I ain’t got the time
Cos there’s nothing, nothing Moore can teach me
That I can't learn my own anyway

It's not like he can control who endorses him.. i say it doesn't hurt.. people that were going to vote for him wont say no just b/c of this.. and maybe some moore fans that liked hillary will switch sides.. either way we'll find out today in the polls.. I'm still trying to figure out if hillary's comments about tehran earlier will hurt her..

Hasn't everyone that Michael Moore endorsed ended up losing the election?

Does this mean Hillary's going to get the Dem Nod?

Am I the only one who is thinking of that scene from Team America?

$0.02

I think your presidents have WAY too long to campaign. This has been going on for almost a year now! Can you hurry up and pick already, so we can get on to real news? We've got a month or two, tops, to pick a leader. If we elect a minority government, we can switch leaders every time a vote of confidence is lost.

I'm confused. This is all about where you vote for who you end up voting for?

Like you have an election to decide to stands for election?

Do you get to have an election to decide who stands for this election to win a chance to stand in the next election?

Not my fault, I'm Scottish.

Okay, i may be downvoted or argued with but I'm going to be honest anyway.
This actually helps me decide who to vote for. Honestly I was most concerned with health care coverage issues and I know Michael Moore is passionate (albeit a little crazy) about that issue and if he is endorsing Obama then I'm going to lead more towards that person.
Now, when its a celebrity endorsing a candidate I don't let that affect my choice because the only thing I know about the actor is their name. They're famous and some people figure that, okay, here's a guy I know from a movie and he likes this candidate. Maybe I should vote for him now.
Dumb.
I need to further research the subject about which candidate was going to do something about health care coverage because the last time I checked Hillary kind of dropped the whole universal health care coverage because it wasn't very popular.

This helps me a little. I'm also saying that voting for a candidate simply because a celebrity is backing them is very lazy.

You see, we have an industry profiting off of this lengthy battle. To be specific, there is the media industry, political profiteering, and who know what else.

In the U.S., my little Scottish friend, money controls everything.

For a more "official" clarifaction we have a "two party system" here: Democrats and Republicans.

Each party gets to pick one persion to run against the other in the main elections. So this is the battle for who wins the Democratic ballot and in my personal opinion the most publicized and drawn out battle for a slot EVER.

It almost feels to me like there isn't even a Republican running!

..and oh yeah...there are other "parties" as well like the "green party" and "independents" but with the exception of maybe Ross Perot they rarely make it out of the gates. You can chalk that up to $$$'s like melgesevad said. :)

Actually, this is a very astute move by the Republicans.

By the time the Democrats FINALLY pick a candidate, most of America will be tired of seeing Hillary or Obama on TV.

Then, McCain starts his campaign and will seem like a breath of fresh air.

I see it (as an outsider) completely the other way round. It's a massive game of diversion and the Republicans aren't even at the table.

The "race" between Clinton & Obama is, to my mind anyway, a complete fiction.

Complete.

But it causes enough media hoopla, from the lower end of the presses reporting the actual snarling fights to the higher end speculating on what the significance of the battle is, to completely oust John McClane out of the spotlight. When it comes time to put the cross in the box, then the constant repetition of the names "Clinton" & "Obama" will sway a lot of votes.

Especially if, as is inevitable, they end up as running mates.

Haha! He may be right.

Actually, pocksucket, most Americans are firmly entrenched in one camp or another. Even if a monkey ran, one side would vote for him regardless of which country he was flinging poo at, or what constitutional rights he was pissing on. See 2004 election. ;)

It's usually up to the independents, and how they are feeling on any particular election day, as to who wins. It's also a race to see which side can inflame their constituents enough to get off their lazy asses and actually go vote on election day.

I'd vote for a monkey. It probably wouldn't make much of a difference.
