Georgia Senior Class to Try Integrated Prom
Prom night at Turner County High has long been an evening of de facto segregation: white students organized their own unofficial prom, while black students did the same. picked by suebe 1 year ago

Next thing you know, they'll be using the same restrooms and drinking out of the same water fountains.

I was born and grew up in racially-segregated South Africa, and I'm white. I'm so glad we've been able to put our kids in various international schools in Ghana and the Netherlands, all of them totally integrated. (They are glad too.)

I find it so sad that certain countries are creeping towards integration s.o.o.. s.l.o.w.l.y.!

I don't believe in affirmative action or any kind of forced integration, but, people, SURELY it must be so easy just to go to a party together?

It's hard to break with tradition, especially in such a small town. Granted, this should have been done a long time ago, but I'm still proud of these students for trying to change things.
