The vast majority of criminals who use guns in their crtimes did not obtain them legally. Does anyone know if the VA. Tech. shooter owned his guns legally?

I heard the guns he used had their serial numbers viled off. Also, since the VA tech shooter was from S.Korea, that also limits the ability to buy guns in the US I think.

I think that's much less of an 'I told you so' than it is 'hey, we've been there and these are the actions we took to prevent it from happening here again'.

The moment he carried them onto campus they were illegal, regardless of their status (or his) beforehand. So the 'legally vs illegally obtained gun' argument is just academic.

Well my point is that if someone is going to kill somebody, it's a pretty safe bet that they aren't worrying about the legality of their gun posession.

Well Said, I think he had every right to comment on that. Just like everybody has the right to. Gun Laws in the US are rediculous. They are not allowed here and we don't have a problem, simple enough isn't it?
