You know the ones, demanding the parent do or give the kid something, or who mouth off and the parent is at a loss as to what to do....

Gotta start at age 2 or 3 with the discipline on who will run the relationship. There's a reason the parents are older and bigger and more experienced. Studies have shown that children REQUIRE boundaries, and push to find their limits. If you don't provide limits, some kids can actually feel uncomfortable or unhappy!

Unwavering obedience to a parent's voice may seem overbearing, but when the truck is barreling down on your kid and you scream at them to look out, you don't want them to run into the street because they are testing your boundary!!!

ANd how far is the discipline of corporal punishment to modify behavior from the discipline to clean your room and do your homework?
<score></score><crdate>6/18/2007 1:15:04 PM</crdate><rssdate></rssdate><atomdate>2007-06-18T13:15:04+01:00</atomdate></comment><comment>

rambler @ 6/18/2007 6:39:52 AM

"I mean, we've taken corporal punishment out of the schools because we think that's brutal and yet our playgrounds seem to be becoming more brutal than ever," the minister told the Nine Network.

"Maybe a little bit more discipline in the schools would prevent some of the ugliness that we've just seen."
Amen.
<score></score><crdate>6/18/2007 6:39:52 AM</crdate><rssdate></rssdate><atomdate>2007-06-18T06:39:52+01:00</atomdate></comment></items></xml>
