Amazing translation into engrish. I remember the blackout well. It was pretty bad in NYC. Luckily, I was only inconvenienced, not impacted by the rampant crime.

In streets of Moscow there were no mass frays, Muscovites were not launched to plunder shops and to set fire to the whole quarters, and militiamen did not shoot on passers-by.
Glad they were more civilized than some New Yorkers were 30 years ago.

I was just leaving work in midtown Manhatten in 1965 when it happened. There was not much crime as I remember. People treated it like a big lark with lots of candles in restaurants and partying everywhere.

I eventually managed to get home to Westchester by busing it to New Jersey and having a buddy drive me home. Overall it was a ball. The birth rate went up considerably on the nine month anniversary of the event. :D

Not so in 1977. It happened later in the evening and looting was bad. Totally different atmosphere.
