Oh no not Iran! Yeah, lets just ignore the fact that the entire world hates us and Korea has a dictator that is building up a pretty scary offensive army, as well as WMD's... no lets worry about Iran.

Better yet, let's completely de-stabilize the fragile balance that region was holding (albeit, tenuous as it was) but nonetheless, let's go in there and make sure they amp up their wmd's or at least threaten to and then, when they do something very predictable to counter our (essentially) invasion of their region, let's threaten them so they don't back down, they cannot back down (or else lose all credibility and presumption of power they may hold their own country, nevermind their allies).

Now let's be uber-stupid and go after them a la the Nazi's invading both Britian and Russia at the same time. A time when troops are depleted, the country has no taste for war, the country (as a majority) doesn't agree with this and there are other options on the table.

This kind of stupidity lends a lot of credence to what Generals Sanchez and Odom have said about the Iraq war and the inability of this administration to properly fight it.

We don't have enough troops to fight this war effectively so lets start another.

I would imagine that any action against Iran would put all of our troops in even greater danger. But perhaps they can scare us enough again to vote in another Republican
