Is the UK in a race to see if can fall faster into politically correct left-wing hell before the US can?

To select your lawmakers based not on who people elect but on the percentage of population is insane.

It is asinine not only because you are not voting people in who will do the best job, but just because they fit some quota. What's the difference between no letting them in because they aren't the right "type" and appointing them in just because they are the right "type".

It is also crazy because you would have huge lawsuits. The plan would be unimplementable. If you base the quoatas on religion, gender, and race. If you are forced to appoint x-number of atheists where does it stop? What about left-handed lesbian lithuanians? There are 10's of thousands or more religions, does each of them get a percentage of seats?

Please someone tell me this is a gag. This is a monty python, benny hill, or someother dastardly plot to make fun of the US. Right? Please?
