 Just how shallow are voters?
Just how shallow are voters?
Rush Limbaugh criticized Hillary's appearance today. Not as a candidate, but as an "aging woman". picked by gratheo 11 months ago

Rush may have escaped the confines of some pentagram somewhere, but even he can make a valid point once in a while. No, not about Hillary. There's no back-data on which to base a conclusion regarding how her appearance will sway voters. But as far as men are concerned, voters pick 'em tall and lantern-jawed way more often than not.

I might get sh-t for this post but oh well.

First of all, Rush is an idiot. Secondly I don't think this will be a huge issue because we have seen Hillary get older on TV and in the media. Because we have witnessed the progression the impact is not as bad...in my opinion. I would also hope that not all the men in the country are d---ks like Rush who expect all women in power to look like Ann Coulter (there is a reason all Republican men let her continue to talk, and I don’t think it has a lot to do with what she says). All we can do is hope that the not-as-shallow people get out and vote.

Politics is so stupid. Everyone tries to find some silly reason to discredit those that doesn't vote the same way. Limbaugh fans and Limbaugh-haters are just alike. I guess this blogger falls into the Limbaugh-hater category.

At 69, Reagan was the oldest man elected president. No one seemed to care that he was as old as he was or aging.

Hillary is 52.

Although I am in the Ron Paul camp, why must these idiots attack the appearance of anyone, in an attempt to sway votes? And yet, people will buy it.

I just hate all the mudslinging, it takes away from the true issues at hand and the sheeple tend to tune into this stuff, rather than the stuff that should matter.

I guarantee half the people who commented on this didn't actually read the article. It wasn't even an offensive article, he actually had an interesting point.

How shallow are voters?

Shallow enough to downvote someone for not agreeing with them, I guess.

I think you're right about people not reading the article. Rush actually made some good points (I can't believe I'm saying this) and it's something to think about the next time we go to the polls. Maybe we need to shut off the TV and listen to the radio.
