In an interview with David Frost broadcast on Aljazeera on 2nd November, Benazir Bhutto asserted that Osama bin Laden had been murdered by Omar Sheikh. Sheikh has been held on other charges since December 2002. I heard the audio yesterday on Air America, but no one in mainstream media picked up on this. Do you think she meant to say 'Daniel Pearl?'

I did wonder if she meant to say something else, but there's no hesitancy, she says it like it's accepted fact and Frost makes no attempt to correct her.

As far as I see, the possibilities are that Bhutto made a mistake, Sheikh murdered bin Laden before 2002, or somehow the murder took place whilst Sheikh was still in custody (they were sharing a cell?).

As a I say, conspiracy theorists could have a field day with this. Tin foil hats at the ready.

Frankly, I don't see any reason to believe that the videos are not of the same person. In addition to what we SEE, the audio is always super analyzed and any differences in the voice patterns would be picked up fairly easy.
