Ron Paul... a Racist? Posted: 7 months ago by ImNotBlue
Some places around the web have been posting evidence of Ron Paul being associated with racists, Neo-Nazis, and other various bigots.
Found these links on a website... just throwing them out there...

good find. I wonder how deep his involvement really goes. Just because somebody puts his name on the front, does not mean he supports those positions. The media needs to cover this and get an explanation.

It may not have been him saying it, but if you lend your name to something, you do bear some responsibility for the content.

Whether he has any involvement (directly) or not, the fact that he's supported by these freaks should be enough to take him out of any contention in my belief. It cannot be good.

The story is that Ron Paul's name was put on these documents without his permission. Depends on whether you believe Ron Paul in that. Here is his response:
And someone bad supporting your cause doesn't mean you're also bad. The bad man had to choose someone, all the candidates probably have such supporters.

The bad man had to choose someone, all the candidates probably have such supporters. “When I was out of Congress and practicing medicine full-time, a newsletter was published under my name that I did not edit. Several writers contributed to the product. For over a decade, I have publicly taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name.”
I'm just surprised that as a politician, and as someone who says, "This story is old news and has been rehashed for over a decade." He hasn't done more to get his name off these newsletters. If this is an issue that keeps coming up, you'd think a lawsuit a while ago might have prevented it from returning once again.

If he wasn't alert enough to check on a newsletter sent with his name and by assumption his views for decades he should fold his tent.
Assuming he's telling the truth.
This is the same kind of bulls**t that's been going on for a long time but reached new heights in the past 7 years.

I knew his supporters would be the end of him. He is already endorced by Howard Stern, John Tucker, and strippers...
Of course when you are polling at 13% it is hard to want to denounce any supporters.

Of course when you are polling at 13% it is hard to want to denounce any supporters. I'm not sure why you were downvoted, I've countered for what it's worth. But yeah, some of his supporters may be his demise. Or maybe (based on this post, he is what they are claiming). Not sure, not going to try to judge the man he already doesn't meet my ideology on other fronts (which we've discussed). Nevertheless, if he's really not with these people, he should come out and denounce them full force. My opinion, of course.

He has said that he doesn't agree with their views, and they don't represent them. He isn't the sort of guy to insult people.. even when I wish he would.

He isn't the sort of guy to insult people.. even when I wish he would. He could do the really brave thing and tell them flat out, I don't want your support. I don't agree with your ideology and I don't want your money or backing. Tell them directly and publically.
Standing on a podium saying "I don't agree with them" but not confronting them seems weak and non-committal at the least.
