I always hate polls like these... yes people think things are one the wrong track, but what track do they think things should be on?

It's too vague. Like asking people whether or not they support this country’s views on abortion... sure a whole bunch would say "No"... but would they be saying, "No, abortions need to be made more available" or "No, abortions need to be stopped altogether."

Too vague, but makes for easy news headlines.

I, for one, am an American. Not by birth, mind you, but I do agree with the poll. I was unemployed for 2 years during Bush's first term, but now I am gainfully employed.

I see things going bad every where. The Dallas News paper had an article before the end of the year that mentioned the price of groceries going up. Gas is obviously going up. Everything is inflated minus the pay checks.

Yeah, things are going to get worse before they get better, for sure.

and I notice none of the presidential candidates would touch the subject of economy with a 30ft pole.

It's mostly to blame is first the people, before us for letting the government getting too strong and having way to much power and privacy.

It is our present day people that are to blame even more for not exposing truths; I say this to build a better future for others after me, not exactly for myself.

We spend $12.5 million dollars for every hour we are in Iraq. That's absurd. I could retire on that. Take an hour off and let me pay off my student loans. No candidate wants to talk about the economy because they realize how screwed up it is. Back when Clinton was president he tried to steer us away from our reliance on the military-industrial complex Johnson, Nixon, and Regan used to fight the Cold War. But everyone knows today's politicians had money invested in companies like Haliburton and Enron which specialized in building weapons for the military and could prosper from the rebuilding of a third world country. With no war to fight they weren't making any money. Look how many jobs have been lost here at home because we refused to build the economy up and instead kept building bombs.

Let's get us a successful CEO to analyze these matters and get things going the right direction -- even if it means we have to sacrifice for a little while.

A good leader knows how to delegate. I could care less if he/she spent half their presidency fishing as long as they had good people.

You look at any successful CEO - They won't tell you that they got where they are because they could do it ALL but rather, they knew where to find the right people for the job.
