Man this woman gets more uncalled for villification than anyone else alive (with the possible exception of Rush)

I've been reading other postings about this from the so called compassionate liberals who are basically calling for her to be burned at the stake and pointing out that this is why people shouldn't vote for republicans.

Forget about the fact that even if she committed some horrible crime, that has no bearing whatsoever on who one should vote on, the point is this is another example of a double standard.

Voting "fraud", in this case voting in a district other than your proper district is an incredibly common occurance. It happens all the time. It may happen because someone has multiple addresses and not clear on which is the "official" one. It may happen because someone is unaware there are regulations to this, or are simply mistaken on where they can vote. They may vote by their place of employment as it is more convient.

Point is when a republican does this it is because they are Evil and want to steal an election and hurt the poor working class.

When a democrat does this and faces criminal charges, it is because the EvilRepublican is trying to steal election and hurt the poor working class by trying to prevent him from voting or not counting his vote.

This happens every election to many many people. Most times republicans or democrats doesn't matter, it doesn't become news and no charges are placed.

Of course, they can't do that with Ann. She is too easy of a target. So right before the election they announce this hoping to sway some swing voters.

Definitely a double-standard.

Thank you, and thanks for the editing.
This old piece of junk I use at work doesn't have java installed so can't use the auto-cropper.

Strange. In Texas, we have precinct workers who verify that you are a registered voter by double checking you on their printed register. Your name will only show up in the register for the precinct you are registered in. If you show up at the wrong polling place, they won't let you vote, because they won't give you a ballot unless you show up on the right register. Does Florida work on the honor system? If not, then how is it only her fault if she did in fact vote in the wrong place? Where were the precinct workers who are supposed to moniter this?

I think the problem was she submitted an incorrect address for her official address. There was some dispute as to the validity of the address.

According to Wikipedia, her voter registration listed her real estate agent's address as her own. When she tried to vote in the precinct near her actual address, the poll worker questioned the address on the voter registration. So Ann went to the precinct for the address on the registration.

As a liberal, I find this a non issue. But then again, I ignore pretty much anything Ann Coulter says or does.

I don't know how it is in Florida, but in Ohio, you can vote at ANY precinct (I believe it is only limited to your county). You vote will be a provincial one, subject to verification, but that's just how it is.

Saying this is "voter fraud" is a stretch. The guy in the '04 election who was filling out registration forms for "Mickey Mouse" and "Mary Marvel" is voter fraud.

They are vilified because they deserve it! It's not like they just mind their own business and are being picked on. They are the ones constantly attacking and critizing others, often very calusly without tact or class.

It's only to be expected that if your going to dish it out you should expect it back. Even many Republican's don't want to be associated with them. Why? Because their clueless mean spirited a*****es that get some kind of kick by tearing other people down often using some skewed perception of reality as their arguement.

I hope she's found guilty and sentenced to STFU.

You knew this was coming...I think she is an ass. She shouldn't get 1/2 the press she gets. I find her very sexy.(I can't explain my motives for anything)

As much as I dislike Ann Coulter, the point is she VOTED! As we all should.

At one time, I was voting at an old polling place because I had moved and the old one was more convenient than the new one (weird districting). I committed no fraud, my name was listed in the Queens NY printed register and I never attempted to vote at the "official" polling place for my residence.

Vote early, vote often I say!(just joking about the often)

One reason wealthy Floridians (Coulter included) come under scrutiny for voter fraud is that they often have homes in other states as well - and it depends on which is their primary residence. I don't know the specifics of this case, but I doubt it's something as frivolous as her just going over to the next polling place by accident or out of ignorance.

I think anything that calls her into question should be applauded. Her books (and interviews, speeches, etc.) are filled with ignorant absolute statements that, although intended to hurt liberal Americans, hurt America itself. I would say I hope she gets investigated and has to stand trial... but that would probably fuel another best-selling book full of hatred, ignorance and lies.
