$1.10/litre, the price of gas here today, is $4.09/gallon. I'm just not feeling any sympathy for the guy.

"We need to find more oil and gas at home..." - yes, stay out of the North Slope, please!!

Now, I'm going to try and email Steven Harper to tell him we REALLY need to beef up our military in the north, because there's oil aplenty in the Sverdrup basin...

He's in big oil's pocket, it's not a shock they haven't told him everything.

The gas price to our national income ratio isn't that high anyway.

....Because there is no long run? How the hell did he get elected the second time? I'm so glad there's less than a year left of him!

Heh, when I posted this on FB, I said that "better off in the short run" = "hopefully we'll be able to get one of my cronies into office with this move"

Like my Mom said, he doesn't have to pay for it, pump it, or anything. And even if he did, why would he care? He's got money. I have a 1/4 tank left in my van now, and I am guessing it will cost me $75 - $80 to fill it up. It's sick.

At least the high gas prices are forcing more people to want an alternative fuel. If it were still cheep no one would give a crap about hybrids, carpooling or any of that jazz.
