They need to be reminded that this is not their money...it belongs to the taxpayer...this money is for us...

How was your last grocery bill? How are the roads where you live? How are the schools? How is the infrastructure?

Have you seen the new 'non-lethal weapons? Who do you think they are intended for?

We have spent enough $$$ on the war to giver EVERY individual on the face of the planet $333...

yeah...you're missing the point.

Where did I say the gov was coming to get us, blue?
Surely you can be more creative...maybe not.

The point that I, and nearly every economist in the western world not on the WhiteHouse payroll, am making is that inflation is becoming a serious issue, and shows all signs of becoming much worse.

The FED is printing money out of thin-f**king-air again...this inevitably means you are now less wealthy than you were yesterday, that you are paid less for the same amount of labor. You are drinking some serious s**t, brother...take a look around you, the writing is on the wall...our money is being made worthless and government entities are in control of more commodity stock than ever before.

Compare your grocery bills over the past year...do so for the next year...
I don't know about you, but I live in a city with over half-a-dozen of the poorest urban zip-codes in the nation...for many of these people (just as in the GreatDepression)there will be little change...but you can see it happening. I hope that $600 check you'll get this summer makes you feel better. It is a drop compared to what has been stolen from you.

There will be riots, and rightly so...and just as was the case in Boca Raton the other day the people will be forced to submit. Only it will not be about housing assistance, it will be about food...

But hey, we got HDTV.

You forgot the corporations that carry the government around in their pockets.

*links to the audio tapes of Enron traders laughing about how rich they are getting screwing over everyone in California.

I would like to live in your head for a day It seems to be a very calm reassuring place with a great echo. (I kid, hopefully you have some sense of humor)

Well, I sure hope there is some change in Washington. I bet the best way to fix all this, is with more taxes. I mean, if my money is worth less (as you say), and it's costing me more and more to pay for common things, well then I think I should have to pay more in taxes too. That way, the government can give it away to the other poor people in the country, and then we can all be the same level of poor together!

Pardon me if I don't take the same paranoid look at life. Things suck, but things frequently suck. And running around screaming about how bad everything is, doesn't help make things better, does it?

See, that's interesting to me. You wanna live in my head... and I have almost no desire to live in yours. I mean, if I wanted to imagine that everything was crashing down around me... while I live a comfortable life, taking everything for granted, while complaining that I don't have more... I suppose I could just move to California.

From where I stand, things could be better... things could be worse. But this perpetual pessimism just doesn't jive with me. But then again, I don't like EMO either.
