Records of Clinton, McCain, Obama inappropriately accessed, officials say.
**And suddenly, this story gets much less interesting. One candidate getting singled out, is a story. One political party getting singled out, is a story. All candidates getting "violated," fades away.

I would be willing to bet any amount that many many many celebrities passport files have been breached.
People are curious/nosy and will naturally look at info they have access to.
Those with access to credit reports may just look at some celebrity's credit report if they can do so without it flagging the account.
Those who have access to the celebrity's _______ fill in the blank, bank account, arrest record, library books, utility billing, credit card statement, medical records, etc etc will look at files they don't have a right to look at be are capable of looking.
The majority of the time no one ever knows.

I just wonder what could possibly be learned by this, that we don't already know?
"Ooooh, John McCain went to Aruba in '97. Interesting. I wonder what hotel he stayed at."
Really... what was gained by this? It's the reason why I don't think this was some sort of "conspiracy" plot. What could possibly be gained?
