I have always wondered which children were invited to this thing. Is it just friends/family? Maybe they use some sort of raffle?

I've been; it's friends kids, cousins kids, distant cousins kids, friends of friends kids, the white house staffs kids etc.

Lots and lots of kids everywhere. I still have my "Barney says good job!" sticker from 5 or 6 years ago. My 5-or-6-years-ago self had a lot of fun.

We went to the Easter Egg Roll in 02. And it was because Lark was, at the time, part of Homeland Security. I remember I had to meet him there--he was working that day. I was to ride the metro all by myself and had to orient myself in a city I knew nothing about. I only had my girls then, my tickets blew all over the street. I got all but one. I had visions of me sitting outside the wall waiting and watching while Lark and the girls played. Some nice people who were leaving handed me there's saying they weren't even taking them(the tickets). So I went and stood in a long line, which was later referred to as the "riff raff" line. Lark found me, he was in his suit, and had his badge, and he told me we didn't have to wait in line. The people I had been in line with and joking around with said, "It's good to know someone." Hahaha. It was fun. The kids had a blast. I saw the snipers on the roof of the white house. That was quite a sight.

**ahem**

Oh...yeah...cool pics. I was lucky enough to go once....
