However it doesn't matter. Pelosi knows that 98% of her proposals will either be turned down or watered down so much as to make it a joke.

She knows that she can propose these rules and gain all sorts of admiration from many of the voters and yet still keep her perks, gifts, and the rest.

Of course what is really needed is control over donations as well. Gifts are one thing, but when medical companies donate multi-millions of dollars and laws are passed that makes it illegal for medicaid/medicare to negotiate for lower prices that is blatant bribery. There are many many many obvious examples like this. I would like to see criminal charges brought on any congress-person who sold his vote. Of course it won't happen since it takes congress to write the law.
