Bush Administration -- "Fourth Amendment has no application to domestic military operations."
Bush Administration -- "Fourth Amendment has no application to domestic military operations."
Huh? Seriously?!

As a result of an ACLU lawsuit, this classified document, written by former employee John Yoo, from October 2001 has been released.

4th Amendment: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated..." picked by 1thirteen3 7 months ago

I actually posted this the other day but I'm not going to link or downvote you because I think this bears repeating, over and over until people read it, read it again and let sink in what exactly this means.

Thanks, and I'm sorry too lol. I searched to make sure but didn't find it.

I saw how this wasn't covered in the news media in that one link on the front page and decided this had to be shown :).

But the terrorists Dolly!? They're out there somewhere talking about something to someone else about anything, and we just don't know ... cus they HATE US! .... Does that even work anymore, anyone remember that rhetoric? Nope, they don't even bother with excuses now. They just blatantly state it and we're lucky we even get THAT. Nice.

It's so true. They HAD the information (without suspending the 4th amendment) and they ignored it. Now they're going to try and play the fear card.
The two really scary things are what this administration has done to the constitution and the rights of Americans and the people that are still buying into their bull.

If the 4th Amendment doesn't hold true within U.S. geography, then where exactly is is supposed to hold? Tristan da Cunha, perhaps? Whatta sad joke. Bush is the worst president in history.

This will probably be the only time in my life I will EVER side with the ACLU.

This issue can't be fought by the ACLU alone, and I hope the House and Senate grow a pair and stop this in its tracks.

It seems like too many of us are resigned to being victims and relying on the main steam media to solve our problems. We all need to start writing letters demanding people like John Yoo and David Addington, face the music as war criminals charged with treason, along with Bush and Cheney. Some good places to read other than main stream media below.

"face the music as war criminals"????

For memo writing?

Have you people even read the article? It said:
"The Bush administration has never argued publicly that the Fourth Amendment does not apply to military operations within the nation's borders."

The memo was a legal opinion "prepared in response to a request from the White House for OLC's views concerning the legality of potential responses to terrorist activity."

It was one man's opinion, regarding what is permissible under extraordinary circumstances, ie martial law.

Yeah, string 'um up! Silly.

The George H. W. Regime had plans already in the works to dismantle the US Constitution.

The Clintons used the IRS and other tools to go after enemies. Hillary Clinton, Eliot Spitzer, and the New York Times were allegedly involved in election rigging:

In Connecticut police will arrest citizens that propose laws to make police and the courts act in the best interest of the public. Ritt Goldstein testified in front of legislators with international experts in Connecticut regarding Civilian Oversight of Police. He was then so terrorized by police he fled to Sweden seeking political asylum. Video of that hearing:

I, Steven G. Erickson, proposed Civilian Oversight of Police and fairness in the courts to Connecticut legislators. I then was a target of police and put in prison for resisting being mugged on the grounds of the home I used to own!
