Republican John McCain said Sunday that cutting taxes and stimulating the economy are more important than balancing the budget, and accused both Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama of supporting tax hikes that would worsen the impact of a recession.

Yes, tax cuts are important, but not at the sake of balancing a budget.
What I mean by that is that a balanced budget is very important, and that if we DO have tax cuts (like i whole heartedly support) we need to lower spending.
Tax cuts are MORE important than balancing the budget at the cost of more taxes.

The point I was making was that YES, a balanced budget is important, it ABSOLUTELY is.
However, when you have a problem, there are two ways to solve it. The first is with more government and spending, the second is with less government and spending. The choice with less government and spending is ALWAYS the better choice.
That being said, the way to balance the budget that would be good is to cut spending. The bad way to balance the budget is to raise taxes.
