I would be interested to know the current statute of limitations, versus the proposed one.The existing statute of limitations, requires that the pay inequity complaint has to be filed within 6 months of the receipt of the FIRST paycheck received.

Since it is not common knowledge what your fellow workers are being paid that timeline is a bit short. The new proposal would have changed the statute to 6 months from the LAST paycheck.

The woman who brought the suit hadn't learned of the male/female pay differential for many years.

McCain felt that the pay differential can be cured by more "education and training" in women workers.
