The Senators who couldn't give an answer germaine to the question should never be asked and shouldn't be re-elected if they run. "No Comment" and "I'm not going to play what ifs" and answers like that to a fun question show me they are evasive (at the least) and probably dishonest and shady.

I liked the honest answers and there were some great ones in there.

Larry Craig's gave me a chuckle (but yeah, I thought he was gone).

I also liked:
Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.)
“No, I can already preside over the Senate, and I do not enjoy spending a lot of time at ‘undisclosed locations.’ ”
and

Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.)
“Absolutely. Absolutely. I think I would be great. First of all, I know how to behave at weddings and funerals. And I know how to be commander in chief. I’d bring a lot of fun to the job. We would rock the Naval Observatory.”
She sounds like a real kick!

These guys knew it was a fun hypothetical and answered in the spirit of it.

Wonder why they didn't ask Edwards (though he said he wouldn't on TV the other day).
