Latest silliness on Obama. Accusations that he was a secret Muslim didn't fly so now they are trying to say that because he isn't and never was a Muslim he will give Al Qaeda, Bin Laden, and the like a huge publicity boost and he will be less effective on a diplomatic level.
Now this is an example of blowing things out of proportion and tabloid reporting.

If you notice, UnknownChap who downvoted me, I am reporting this as some of the crap that Obama does have to put up with. If you read my description it says this is a bs story and is posted as an example of real tabloid baseless attacks.

Such was not my attention.
My attention was that it be shown as an example of some of the true crap that Obama has to put up with. My attention was to show it to be false and baseless.
That is why I editorialized within the description, something we are really not supposed to do. I wanted people to know what stupid drivel this was.

Now, hold on a minute - after reading the article I think the author has a point. I'm an Obama supporter - I even campaigned for him in the hopeless primary battle here in WV. What the article says is true - radical Muslims can technically claim apostasy (yet another loony 12th century idea brought to you by your friends in Organized Religion). Now the real question though is - who actually cares other than the radical fringe who already hate us? How voting in someone who wants to continue the Iraq war is supposed to be more acceptable than voting in an apostate is never explained... it's not like Bin Laden is going to call it all off if John McCain gets into office wanting to continue the Iraq war until 2013 at the earliest...

So why couldn't Al Quaeda use this to their advantage. Apparently they are able sway their people to believe a lot of incredulous things about non muslims.

What I mean by silliness isn't so much the premise, as it seems to be a disguised warning that you better not vote for Obama or we'll be worse off than now.
That is why I compared it to the attempts to say he was a Muslim, and that because of that we should worry. That didn't work so now some are trying to say because he ISN'T a Muslim we should worry.
Either scenario has no bearing on his ability or inability to govern. Would Clinton as a female do better or worse with Iran and the like? Would McCain do any better or worse? Who knows, there are too many factors involved to narrow them down to one's religion or lack thereof.
