We have humanity, compassion and integrity...

PLUS... we are taught to identify whatever we are shooting at....

A headline like "Cheney Not Funny" is like writing a headline that says "Air is Good".

To me, this really shows the difference in people's minds and the press today.

Cheney makes a joke, at W.Va.'s expense... a joke you can buy on a t-shirt... and people are up in arms.

Obama says what he said about Pennsylvanians clinging to guns and religion... and we need to "calm down," because it's "no big deal." And that wasn't a joke!

These double standards are really getting in the way of sanity.

(PS- It’s awfully ironic for some people around here to get too upset over this, after all the bashing of Florida that proudly goes on. Besides, I lived in New Jersey, and if I got upset every time someone said something negative about NJ… well, I’d have to be a lot angrier.)

I have no problem with his joke in particular. I have a problem with anything he says .. about anything at all. It's because of the perpetual sneer on his flaccid face when the forked tongue keeps popping out the side of his mouth.

That, and I am starting to really dislike him .. :)

Why do you keep insisting that everyone reacts differently to Obama? There are plenty of people that will no vote for him because of stupid stuff like that comment, and the whole flag pin thing.

It's not really an Obama thing... it's a media bias thing. I'm a media dork, and I spend most of my time reading and paying attention to that stuff. So when something similar comes out, and people react differently to a similar situation, it strikes me as interesting.

It has nothing to do with Obama really... I'm I don't mind so much. His supporters (especially those in the media), however, are another story...
