He rushed the stage and was going to &quot;arrest&quot; Bolton.  It was only &quot;non-violent&quot; because it was stopped before it got violent.<br/><br/>A non-violent protest is a march, a walk, or a sit-in... not trying to arrest someone.  The moment your intention is to lay your hands on, or throw something at someone, it becomes a violent protest, as it could be considered &quot;battery.&quot;<br/><br/>To me, his motives are inconsequential. But what about the person who holds Barack Obama responsible for wrong doing?  Are they able to arrest and detain him?  What happens when someone gets fed up of not being allow near enough to arrest them, and starts resorting to violence?<br/><br/>This is not how our, or anyone's CIVILIZED society should function.  But I can't say I'm surprised.
