Singapore Sues US Blogger For Defamation
A while ago, Lee Kuan Yew, leader of the Singapore Government, said that if he knew the identity of any bloggers in cyberspace who defamed him, he would sue and bankrupt them.

It goes that a blogger actually dared the government to do so. He identified himself and his location, and then he began critisizing the Singapore Government.

And to be honest, as a Singaporean myself, I'm really too afraid to make any real comments on it anywhere on the internet.

What is there to be afraid if you are responsible person and speaks with responsibly ?

Speaking responsibly? What would you mean by that? Basically, you shouldn't really enter any discussion on the government, because discussions have to have two sides to them, and you wouldn't catch most people on the side speaking against the government. I'd still rather err on the side of caution. If they think it's fit, they will take you to court, and you will lose.

I read a lot and do not comment on things I do not know or go around defaming people doing things you cannot prove.
