Not so pretty when the light is shone in your closet, eh, McCain?
Laura Bush told ABC last week that the remarks must have been misinterpreted.
"I think she (Michelle Obama) probably meant 'I'm more proud,' " said the first lady, adding that "you have to be very careful in what you say" when you're campaigning.

BUZZ... WRONG-O
Actually on Tuesday, Obama said:
And you know I've said publicly before, and I'll say it again - I think families are off limits. I would never consider making Cindy McCain a campaign issue, and if I saw people doing that - I would speak out against it.

So it's hard to argue that Cindy McCain was behind pushing this... especially because Obama made his comments TWO DAYS BEFORE HER!
Furthermore, Obama thinks that attacking Mrs. McCain is wrong... does that mean you'll stop?
AND, does it really matter? Are Mrs. McCain's AND Mrs. Obama's history up for grabs... or are they off the table?
Either way, to imply that Mrs. McCain is doing this for her own personal reasons, is false... especially when she is echoing the earlier comments by her husband's political opponent.
Although I hate John Mccain and his wife sounds like she was once quite a despicable addict, the way this article talks about drug addicts makes them seem almost inhuman, I find it kind of ridiculous.
Having worked with addicts to help them overcome, I say congratulations to Mrs. McCain for battling past her addiction. I don't like McCain, but knowing his wife is human and fallible and still able to overcome problems like everyone else makes me like her more.
So, can we now stop playing "gotcha" politics, please?
