So it's hard to argue that Cindy McCain was behind pushing this... especially because Obama made his comments TWO DAYS BEFORE HER!

Furthermore, Obama thinks that attacking Mrs. McCain is wrong... does that mean you'll stop?

AND, does it really matter? Are Mrs. McCain's AND Mrs. Obama's history up for grabs... or are they off the table?

Laura Bush told ABC last week that the remarks must have been misinterpreted.

"I think she (Michelle Obama) probably meant 'I'm more proud,' " said the first lady, adding that "you have to be very careful in what you say" when you're campaigning.
