Before this gets downvoted off the main page...it was done tongue-in-cheek...

I think these are funny...especially since some Republicans actually wear them!!

It's a little late for the Billary one... the one with the elephant holding a cross pretty much sums up why I can't ever be a Republican... Thomas Jefferson is revolving at high speed in his grave over that one.

and this

I can't believe people are still on this whole, "I hate commies" thing it was ridiculous in the 50's and it's ridiculous now, the Soviet Union was obviously no Communism, and it probably would never work, but leave this poor mistreated minority of people alone. Liking the idea of Communism is not a crime.

I find it goofy, especially since in my country, the "red" party is liberal and the "blue" party is conservative.

Well, you always have:

You sure it wasn't:

But apparently being a Republican is?

I’m really not suggesting one is better than the other… just that there are goofy buttons on both sides of the isle. Personally… I don’t think anyone should take these too seriously… they are pretty funny.

Party obsessed democrats. Libertarians rule! NO PARTY! NO CAUCUSES! NO... candidate.

Seriously, though, I hate every candidate we've had put before us. It's no longer a test to see who's the best president, but rather who's the best politician. Obama just keeps regurgitating optimistic little nothings that can't be applied to what he will do in the presidency, and McCain is so battle hardened that he'd probably say "War? Yeah, I know what its like! Now shut up and invade China, Goddammit!"

We need a president who isn't trying to gain power and set things up for his own interests. Ron Paul seemed like a good example, but with the way the world is set up, no one like him stands a chance. So, we're left to decide between some guy who's a smooth talker, and a guy who can't keep his audience awake if his life depended on it. And the sad thing is, thats all I can glean about them from their speeches. I still don't know what they stand for, just that its not what the other guy stands for.

I'm pretty middle of the road ideologically. There's just something annoying about people that keep saying, "You folks need to wake up!"and then spouting off some drivel, usually exemplified by the slogans in this collection of buttons. With extreme left wing people, it's a rant about love and equality. With the right, it's a rant about freedom and nods to the justness of Austrian economics. But the worst part is the demonization that comes from both sides. I mean, do you really think that there is this huge communist conspiracy to take all your guns and your entire paycheck and give it to lazy people? Really? Do you really think there are corporate meetings where CEO's sit around tables and figure out how they're going to get the conservative president to fleece the poorest of the poor and return us to a theocracy? Really? Come on.

I will say this about this election: both candidates seem to, so far at least, have stayed on a pretty straight and narrow track of ideas instead of making snide remarks about their character. Even the associated second party groups, save Sean Hannity, have been pretty quiet so far. It's really the obnoxious self-absorbed snide remarks that tick me off. I still claim Gore would've won in 2000 if when Bush made that snide remark about him claiming to have invented the internet (which he never did) Gore would've shot him a look and said, "What @#%! did you just say to me, punk?!"

But with the rise of a conservative media and it's inevitable production of a reactionary liberal media, we can only expect more of this name-calling nonsense. "Class warfare!" "Baby killer!" "Market fascist!" "Religious fundie!!"

You can all bite me.

I wonder if a president is allowed to repaint the white house....that would be pretty cool if you could....but I'm sure most presidents would be to lame to do anything exciting.
