Conservatives Outraged That NYTimes Published CIA Operative Name
"Too bad, because an otherwise fascinating story about the scramble to build a counterterror apparatus after 9/11, the merits of coercive vs. non-coercive interrogation, and the stings that nailed Abu Zubaydah and KSM is going to be submerged in a debate over their decision to publish the lead interrogator’s name against his wishes and those of CIA chief Michael Hayden." picked by ImNotBlue 5 months ago

FULL DISCLOSURE!!!
This is a link to the website, "Hot Air," a right-wing/conservative website, run by Michelle Malkin. That said, the story is subject to extra scrutiny for reasons of political bias. However, I did look for this story elsewhere, and was unable to find a more unbiased account... mainly because it's not (yet) a wide-spread story. If you find a more objective link, please post in the comment section.

This story reeks of the Plame incident, except with the shoe on the other foot. This time the Times revealed something they shouldn't have, despite having been a vocal critic previously. Additionally, this is not the first time the NYTimes has made such decisions, despite the request to hold back such information.

I suppose the real question is, why does the NYTimes think it can play by its own rules?
