This sort of thing happens all too often.
In some situations, it is reasonable, other times it isn't.
What is so stupid is removing the protester will result in more damage than allowing the protester to remain.
Provided all she did was stand around than allowing her to remain wouldn't have been a problem.
If Obama is smart, he will either allow a similar protester or even plant a protester at one of his speeches. He can then welcome the protester, showing that he is different. This will gain him votes.

My favorite part of this is that the whole thing proves her sign to be *exactly right* - this is the kind of thing Bush did exceptionally well during his two campaigns - quashing dissent at public gatherings.

Ahhh, the land of the "Free Speech Zone".
Were rules posted ahead of time that said this behavior was prohibited? If she had a sign supporting McCain, would she have been removed?
Was she perceived as a threat (riiiiiiight)? The guy in the green dildo suit looked more threatening.
The gentleman at the Kerry speech refused intsructions to leave. And he was disrupting the event. How was this lady disrupting anything by just standing there with a sign?
I wonder what would've happened if the librarian had decided to stand up for her right to peacefully assemble?
