Senate approves bill to broaden wiretap powers
The Senate gave final approval on Wednesday to a major expansion of the government’s surveillance powers, handing President Bush one more victory in a series of hard-fought clashes with Democrats over national security issues. At some point, I'll actually read the whole bill and see what's up. From what I've read, there's definitely going to be a challenge on whether it is constitutional or not. I'm so glad there are strict constructionists on the court.

While all that goes on, I do like how a certain candidate is being exposed as a typical politician who will say whatever will get him elected instead of this savior / cult crap I've been seeing for almost a year now.

I didn't exactly worship him, but I was saddened to see him vote for it. I can only hope he did it for the republican vote.. but that is just giving him too much credit.
