Senate approves bill to broaden wiretap powers Posted: 4 months ago by theclansman
The Senate gave final approval on Wednesday to a major expansion of the government’s surveillance powers, handing President Bush one more victory in a series of hard-fought clashes with Democrats over national security issues. As most of you may know, I am a huge Obama fan and am saddened to see him voting in support of this (even though he said he wouldn't).

At some point, I'll actually read the whole bill and see what's up. From what I've read, there's definitely going to be a challenge on whether it is constitutional or not. I'm so glad there are strict constructionists on the court.
While all that goes on, I do like how a certain candidate is being exposed as a typical politician who will say whatever will get him elected instead of this savior / cult crap I've been seeing for almost a year now.

I didn't exactly worship him, but I was saddened to see him vote for it. I can only hope he did it for the republican vote.. but that is just giving him too much credit.
