A Florida man is using billboards with an image of the burning World Trade Center to encourage votes for a Republican presidential candidate, drawing criticism for politicizing the 9/11 attacks.
Businessman Mike Meehan says he has put up three billboards such as this one around Orlando, Florida.
"Please Don't Vote for a Democrat" reads the type over the picture of the twin towers after hijacked airliners hit them on September, 11, 2001.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PRIVATE CITIZEN, NOT THE REPUBLICANS.

Yep... lets string up the entire Republican party because one jackass puts up a few ill conceived billboards.
This makes no more sense than when the Democrats ran ads saying that electing a Republican president will result in the burning of black churches.
Politics as a whole have become so uncivil and repulsive in this country, it's a wonder anyone wants to participate at all.

Maybe not in this thread but this particular story has been thoroughly plastered on the news channels over the last few days. The implication being that this represents the GOP's stand on things in the upcoming general election.
I wasn't directing that comment towards anyone here but I maintain that this (like many other "individual" incidents in both parties) is on the fast track to being overblown and overhyped in the media... at the expense of REAL news and REAL issues that Americans should be considering before they cast a vote.
