Why? Because he chose someone who could help him WIN the election. He's a good choice; he balances Obama's youth and relative inexperience well, plus is well versed in foreign relations.

And not to offend Hiliary fans (although I'm sure I will), but I'm so glad he didn't choose her. She's too obsessed with her own importance.

Sadly enough, it is possible that some would probably feel some sort of righteous indignation at the thought of a 'black' man being president and kill Obama just so that a 'white' guy can run the country.

I am not a Hillary supporter, but I am a women supporter. If it would have been up to me, he should have picked a woman (not Hillary) as his running mate.

That way those who would kill Obama would be equally as f**ked if not more so at the thought of having a woman run the country.

I wasn't an Obama supporter, but he is going to win. So Biden's overall experience and foreign policy background are a comfort. Obama said that the VP will not play a minor role in his administration.

I think it was the worst choice of all. Biden is a human gaffe machine. He has so much material that can be used against him.

I couldn't be more pleased with this pick, unless of course it was Mike Gravel, but we all knew that wasn't going to happen.

Yeah he talks a lot, but most of it is pretty on point if you ask me.

If he's smart, and campaigning with Obama, he should know when to shut up, but I suppose time will tell.
