I'd be more inclined to see Tim Pawlenty (governor of Minnesota), Charlie Crist (Florida governor), or some woman.
I would've put money on Sarah Palin before she had her child...though I wouldn't be shocked if she was chosen. Same with Chuck Hagel or Mark Sanford.
McCain has the opportunity to slaughter Obama with his VP pick. Obama's already done half the job.

Not because I don't like Biden, I like him much more than I do Obama, but here's my explanation.

McCain has the opportunity to slaughter Obama with his VP pick. Obama's already done half the job. Hagel?! Are you out of your head?! He's got as much of a chance as Liebermann has, which is to say McCain would end his presidency with that pick!
Although, I agree with your opinion about Biden, and some of the other McCain potential picks.
IMO, if he picks a woman to run with, he will do his campaign the most good. He'll be able to win over a bunch of Hillary supporters, who wanted to see a woman in office. Whether or not there is an appropriate woman to fill that position is another story...
