Obama’s 10 Worst Ideas Posted: 3 months ago by 2manyusernames
Obama and McCain have both posited many many great ideas. Of course they can't all be perfect. This week we bring you Obama's 10 worst ideas. Next week we'll bring you McCain's 10 worst ideas. Seems relatively neutral and unbiased. Looking forward to seeing McCain' list.

Althought he does have bad ideas, it does look like he at least listens to arguments against it and then change his mind.

You may call him a flipflopper for that, but I rather see someone changing his mind on issues, then someone that has a bad idea, dismisses all arguements against it, and goes through with said bad idea, like we had the last 8 years.

yes. good point. I don't have a problem with "flipfloppers" when they change their minds based on sound arguments or when their is a change in the politician's responsibilities/obligations.

i.e. a senator who is answerable to citizens of a state should have different views on some subjects than a presidential candidate who answers to the whole country.

It depends how much a bad idea it is.
If he declares war on Russia, then changes his mind about issues, it wont make a whole lot of difference.

Although I agree with you, really.

I really don't think the President's viewpoints really mean a thing. They are put in office by us to do what we want them to do.

i.e. We are at war right now because we wanted our president to respond to terrorist attacks.

Just sayin'

We didn't want a thing, we were pushed by our fear/hate mongering government.

As long as your voting this time. If you don't vote your opinion is just that, an opinion.

Hahahaha.

Sorry, that was fantastic.

*Edit* I guess I should add to this to make it a little more than just condescending.

I used to work in politics and I now work in advertising so I can quite clearly say that public opinions are crafted.

As sad as it is, the majority of any population is mostly politically ignorant* and with a small amount of applied pressure can fairly easily be swayed to think what you want them to think.

*if only the general population were made up of Plimates, then they'd be worried.

As I am more than aware, just like to point at the holes in the dam and not try to plug them.

Did anyone notice that some of these "ideas" were from 2007? While a member of congress, you can have ideas that are poorly thought out. I'd like to see someone write an attack of his ideas put forth solely in his convention speech in Denver.
Also, just because someone attacks ideas, doesn't mean that person is well-informed; merely that they have an opinion.

“Only two things can rehabilitate Ahmadinejad politically: bombing Iran or major efforts to engage.”
Apparently John McCain wants to rehab Ahmadinejad in the former fashion.

I didn't notice an implied time constraint on the caliber of ideas, just that they were his worst ones.
