ZuneGate: Is Obama an iPresident or Not? Posted: 12 months ago by punthe
ZuneGate, as some called it, is settled. Reports that President-Elect Barack Obama is actually a Microsoft Zune user have been crushed last night by one of Obama's spokesmen. "Not true, the President-Elect uses an iPod," addressed the spokesman to Philadelphia City Paper - Neal Santos' accusations.

I thought this was a pretty funny read. I think it's funny that people actually wanted to base their vote on what digital music device he uses.

When will we Creative Zen users get the representation we deserve.

This oppression can't be allowed to continue.

Personally I think he should set an example and not use such devices. Instead he should engage in meaningful conversation everywhere he goes, enlarging his social circle.

The big question is which one is made in the USA? It is essential to put the iMoney back into the hands of the people!

Love my creative zen. I bought the 30 gig video 2 years ago and its still going strong. At the time it blew anything ipod had out of the water.

But why do I hate iPod the most?!?! DR(f'n)M!! My gf purchased some songs through itunes. Purchased them individually. Not on a monthly plan. Apple would not let me transfer those files on to my computer to play them even though they "belonged" to her.

As a matter of fact. Apple wouldn't even let me plug her ipod into my computer without erasing all purchased music she bought from the itunes. I'm sorry.. that's f'd up.

Not to mention iPod's/Zunes won't work with services like spiralfrog.com where you get unlimited monthly downloads for free.

I've got the 16Gb solid state Zen, and I too love it.

I've many reasons to oppose Apple, but yeah - iTunes is one of the biggest. Back when I was doing lots and lots of desktop support it was a common occurrence for iTunes to mess up an entire XP install.

There are loads of options for loading stuff onto my Zen (I use Gnomad2), all of which are smooth and trouble free.

If you're ever looking for a replacement you could do worse than by starting out at Anythingbutipod.

And if you're not ready yet you can perhaps take solace from knowing that it's not just you and I who refuse to suck down that tall iPod shaped glass of Kool-Aid.
