Mr. Yasgur, now a cultural icon, allowed 40 acres of his 1,100 acre farm in upstate New York, to be used for Woodstock, thus making the musical and cultural event of the century possible.

Billions and billions of dollars are handed out like welfare to farmers across the US. This includes "farmers" such as Ted Turner who invest in farms to get a subsidy. Obama wants to put a cap so that farmers making $500k/year don't get taxpayer subsidies. Sadly too many people eat at that trough and donate heavily to congress to make passing the law likely.
