Saw these guys perform last Saturday, and do they know how to put on a show! If you think this song sounds familiar, it was used as the intro music for the Wildboyz. picked by 86Apex 2 years ago 0 comments edit related share plime.com |
This is a really cool video by Lasse Gjertsen. All the sounds are the actual audio from the original video tape and the only editing that was done was basic timeline editing. He can't actually play real drums or piano. picked by shredtone 3 years ago 2 comments edit related share plime.com |

Digitized music is usually about ~10 megabytes per minute. MP3s are compressed down to ~1 megabyte per minute. A 10-megapixel camera takes a 30 megabyte picture but compresses it down to 3 megabytes to store the image. Why go to the trouble of sensing data when 90% will be thrown away? Previously it wasn't possible to do otherwise. Now, things may change. picked by 2manyusernames 5 months ago 0 comments edit related share technology |

The Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer is a partially analog, partially sample-based drum machine built by Roland Corporation in 1984. Together with TB-303 and TR-808, they form a legendary synthesizer line which bring Roland almost to a cult branch for techno music producers. Now, you can play with a virtual TR-909 online, after a click. Cool creation from André Michelle laboratory. picked by andrego 2 years ago 2 comments edit related share plime.com |

Drawings of musicians whose "instruments are natural extensions of their bodies," with nods to such luminaries as Eric Dolphy, Astor Piazzolla, and Bob Dylan. The video is a nifty time-lapse piece of Shawn Feeney's Mr. Tambourine Man. Also check out his Collapsed Album music project. picked by suebe 8 months ago 0 comments edit related share plime.com |

Michael Jackson had an arsenal of glittery gloves. But on November 21, the glove — the handmade, rhinestone-encrusted left-hand glove the late singer wore when he stunned the world by uncorking the moonwalk during the "Motown 25" special in 1983 — will be auctioned off at a Music Icons event at the Hard Rock Café in New York's Times Square. picked by muppet 4 months ago 2 comments edit related share entertainment |
